WTIF Wall Tie Training
The WTIF provides specialist training in wall tie surveying and remedial wall tie installation. Courses are intended for people working, or intending to work, in the wall tie industry.
Completion of a WTIF Surveyors & Operatives Course is a prerequisite for probational membership of the WTIF.
Surveyor & Operative Training
The course covers subjects including:
Surveying and diagnosis.
Equipment and inspection methods.
Health & Safety and risk assessment.
Report writing and problem solving.
Contract considerations.
Practical demonstrations and installation awareness.
Installation patterns for remedial ties.
Treatment of existing ties.
Equipment and pull-out testing.
Site control and documentation.
Practical installation demonstrations.
WTIF Course Dates
Please note that post 13/10/26 the WTIF has revised its training programme to provide a more comprehensive and cost-effective 1 day course for both surveyors and installation operatives.
Previously delivered as separate sessions, the new combined course recognises that much of the technical knowledge required by surveyors is equally valuable to operatives. Bringing both groups together ensures a shared understanding of wall tie defects, remedial solutions, installation procedures and industry best practice.
The revised format eliminates unnecessary duplication, improves the overall learning experience and enables the WTIF to reduce course fees without compromising training standards.

Monday 23rd November - 1 Day Surveyor & Operative Course, FULLY BOOKED
Monday 3rd March - 1 Day Surveyor & Operative Course, £550 per attendee
